Time has come for one more edition of the IUSY World Festival. IUSY, the progressive world youth and the world’s largest political youth organisation, is back to the big public and physical gatherings after turbulent years of pandemic.
The theme of this festival tackles one of the biggest challenges of this millennium: globalising solidarity. Over the past years we have understood the power of globalisation for good: whether it was on scientific share to fight the COVID-19 pandemic or the social media global awareness for Human Rights struggles. Yet, much is still to do.
Our interdependencies have shaped the world as we know it – from commerce to products, from services to technology – but many values have been left adrift in the ship of Globalisation. You, as our present and future leaders, have the responsibility to take Solidarity, Freedom and Sustainability to all the ports of the world.
This Festival will therefore serve to share the values of comradeship and empathy. Together, from the 26th of June to the 1st of July, we will gather the current, the future and the past generations of the International Union of Socialist Youth to discuss our way forward!
Only with your constant work and passion will we be able to change the course of an unequal, unbalanced and indifferent society.
On the occasion of IUSY’s 115th anniversary our commitment to the world stays the same: being all over the world to make change happen.
